Celestial Labs unveils drug designing tool

HYDERABAD: Celestial Labs, a Hyderabad-based bioinformatics firm, has developed Celsuite, a `first of its kind' drug-designing tool, in two modules. The first module comprises collection of programmes useful in prediction of active site when given the 3D coordinates of target protein and a ligand building programme. A visualiser for visual inspection of bio-molecules supports it. The second module, "insilico predictive toxicity module" has been designed to supersede the disadvantages in the existing established approaches, says a release.
