THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Black Arrows held Reserve Bank of India to a 1-1 draw in the Thiruvananthapuram district A division football match here on Friday. The match was marked by fouls and rough play. RBI went ahead in the 15th minute through Pradeep. It became a free for all midway through the second half and the match had to be stopped for about 15 minutes. Three players two from Black Arrows and one from RBI were shown the red card by referee Bimal Lazar. The match resumed under police supervision and Black Arrows found the equaliser through Sajan in the 70th minute. The draw kept alive Black Arrows' title chances as it now has 11 points from five matches and is tied at the top with SMRC. RBI has seven points from four matches and is in the third spot. Viva Kerala Nigerian Baba Thunde fired in four goals, including a hat-trick, as Viva Kerala blanked Golden Threads 6-0 and retained the Ernakulam District senior division football league title at the FACT Ground, Udyogamandal, on Friday evening. Viva finished with 18 points after winning all their matches. Baba Thundecontinued his fine form. He scored the first four goals in the 3rd, 12th, 28th and 55th minutes. Javed and Ashique netted the other two.
