Isolated rain likely in T.N.

CHENNAI: Isolated rainfall occurred over Kerala. Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimeters are:

Kozhikode Airport 6, Thalaseery (Kannur dt) 4, Kanjirapalli (Kottayam dt) 3 and Kozhikode and Quilandy (Kozhikode dt) 1 each.

Nandyal and Tirupathi Airport recorded the highest maximum temperature of 40 degree Celsius in the region.

They were markedly below normal at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, Telangana, below normal at one or two places over rest Telangana, south interior Karnataka, north coastal Tamil Nadu, appreciably above normal at one or two places over rest north interior Karnataka, above normal at a few places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over rest Tamil Nadu, Kerala and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Forecast (valid until Sunday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over interior Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep and coastal Karnataka and mainly dry weather will prevail over coastal Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka.
