KARIMNAGAR : BJP senior leader and former Union Minister Ch Vidyasagar Rao has asked the Congress to answer the queries raised by the Congress legislator P Janardhan Reddy on the selling away of precious lands in Hyderabad to the Andhra people at throwaway prices. Quoting the Telangana Tenancy Act of 1950, Sections 46 to 50 of Chapter V, he said the lands belonging to the Telangana region should not be purchased or taken on lease by non-Telangana people. He alleged former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Chief Minister Y S Rajashekhara Reddy were selling precious lands to non-Telangana people at throwaway prices and regularising the lands. Addressing a press conference here on Friday, he demanded the State Government to revive the Telangana Tenancy Act and restore lands only to Telangana people. Quoting the first SRC on Telangana state, he said there was no need for a Bill or resolution in Assembly on Telangana statehood. The Government should consider the opinion of only Telangana legislators for the Telangana state and not of entire State, he added.
