Former NIT-K student is CMD of Bank of Maharashtra

MANGALORE: M.B. Mallya, Executive Director, Oriental Bank of Commerce, who is from Mangalore, has been appointed Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Bank of Maharashtra for five years by the Union Government.

He will assume office at the head office of the bank in Pune on Saturday, according to a release from the Oriental Bank of Commerce. Mr. Mallya is an old student of the Karnataka Regional Engineering College, Suratkal, now National Institute of Technology-Karnataka (NIT-K).
