CHENNAI: Here is some good news for those who have enjoyed Triplicane Ratna Cafe's delicious sambar-soaked idlis.

The delicious dishes will be available at Velachery, which will be the cafe's third outlet. The second is on Venkatanarayana Road in T. Nagar.

"All the delicacies offered at our eatery at Triplicane will be available at Velachery, and we are looking to open more such outlets by the end of this year.

The 6,000-square-foot Velachery outlet on the by-pass road will open on Tamil New Year's Day.

The fourth, an 18,000-square-foot outlet, is to come up opposite Madras Christian College, Tambaram, in May," says Rajender Gupta, managing partner of Ratna Cafe.

Surely, the men behind the famed idlis, chief cooks Kalaiperumal and Kandaswamy, will have more people appreciating them now.

Mr. Gupta is looking at various locations in Anna Nagar, Adyar, Thiruvanmiyur, and along the Old Mamallapuram Road to open branches.
