: Breakdown of the digital cameras affected the Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) programme at a centre in Thillai Ganga Nagar, in Nanganallur, on Friday.
A few hundred residents turned up at a school on 24th Street, , as it was the Designated Photo Location (DPL) for some of localities in that area. But they were unable to get themselves photographed even after waiting for more than three hours.
A resident after waiting in the queue from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., said the delay was due to problems in the digital camera. The camera would take pictures of a dozen people after which its battery would run dry. It would take some time for recharge, only to lose charge again.
