HYDERABAD: Alukkas Jewellery LLC, a Dubai-based gold and jewellery major, will open its outlet in the city on Sunday. To be located in four-floor premises at Punjagutta, the new outlet, being set up with an investment of Rs. 25 crores, will showcase 22 kt gold and diamond jewellery from India and abroad. All pieces of gold jewellery will be of 916 (22 kt) purity and BIS hallmarked. Customers can check the purity of items through a computerised analyser to be installed in the store. The new outlet, to be inaugurated by film actress Sada, will be 61st retail outlet of Alukkas worldwide and 11th in the country. Alukkas Jewellery group general manager, Sunil Kumar Nottat, and general manager, India, Mathew Francis, told reporters on Friday that Alukkas had a one-lakh sq.ft retail space in jewellery alone and the company had invested Rs. 400 crores in India.
