GCDA invites tenders for four plots

Staff Reporter

KOCHI: The Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) has invited bids for four of its plots. It has not called for bids for the two controversial plots at Manappattiparambu and at the High Court junction.

The GCDA has invited Expressions of Interest for developing four plots on build-share-transfer basis — 123 cents and 85 cents at Manappattiparambu, 60 cents at Panampilly Nagar and 23 cents near the Eastern entry of Ernakulam South. The first two plots have Rs.5 lakhs and Rs.3 lakhs respectively as Earnest Money Deposit, Rs.2 lakhs for the plot at Panampilly Nagar and Rs.50,000 for eastern entry plot.

The general council and executive council had asked the authority to invite open tenders for the proposed shopping complex at Marine Drive and shopping mall at Manappattiparambu. These two projects were awarded to contractors, treating them on a special status.
