Gastroenteritis cases coming down

No new cases of cholera reported

Bangalore: The number of gastroenteritis cases in the city is gradually coming down.

Eight people with gastroenteritis were admitted to the Isolation hospital on Thursday. The total number of confirmed cholera cases from various hospitals in the last two weeks has stopped at 14. Victoria Hospital reported three cases of gastroenteritis on Thursday. All of them are recovering, Superintendent of the hospital Ashok Kumar said. M.G. Prasad, Director for Health and Family Welfare, said the number of cases being reported in the city had come down considerably.

"We have not seen any confirmed cholera cases in the past few days," he said.
