Metro timings change on Line 3

NEW DELHI: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has temporarily changed the service timings on Barakhamba-Dwarka Line - 3 in view of the interlinking work being done for the new section connecting Dwarka to Dwarka Sub-City.

Stating that the Dwarka Sub-City section is expected to be opened to the public by the end of this month, a DMRC release said passenger services will stop at 9-30 p.m. on Saturday (March 25) and will start at 7 a.m. the following (Sunday) morning due to the interlinking work. However, services on Line -1 (Shahdara-Rithala) and Line - 2 (Vishwavidyalaya-Central Secretariat) will not be affected and would run as usual from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. as per schedule.

Delay in getting question paper

NEW DELHI: Some class XII students of S.S.K. Khalsa Senior Secondary School have complained that they were given the Computer Science question paper at least 25 minutes late against the instructions of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The students claimed that the question papers were distributed to them at their S.K.V. Dayanand Road centre in Darya Ganj at 10-40 a.m. instead of 10-15 a.m. on Thursday. The students also complained that they were subjected to the same delay on March 21 and were not given any extra time to complete the paper.

Man held for robbery bid

NEW DELHI: A 25-year-old man who allegedly tried to rob a businessman along with his accomplices at Chandni Chowk in North Delhi on Thursday night has been arrested by the North Delhi police.

According to the police, Navdeep, a resident of Punjabi Bagh who owned an electronic item shop at Old Lajpat Rai Market, was getting into his car around 9 p.m. when three men came tried to snatch the bag in which money was kept. However, Navdeep offered resistance. In the ensuing melee, one of them whipped out a country-made revolver and opened fire. However, nobody was injured.

Alerted by the commotion, some passers-by gathered at the spot and managed to nab one of the three persons. The arrested person has been identified as Deepak.

The police said Deepak and his accomplices were in an inebriated state and had decided to rob the businessman on the spur of the moment
