NEW DELHI: India and the European Union are expected to discuss a wide range of areas including energy security, cooperation in renovation and modernisation of power plants, fusion energy, renewable energy and bio-fuels at the forthcoming meeting of the Indo-EU Energy panel. The panel, which meets here on April 6 and 7, does not, however, have nuclear energy on the agenda though this could be informally taken up during the talks. On the first day of the talks, it has been decided to hold a joint Indo-EU industrial energy conference. The European Commissioner for Energy, Andris Pielbalgs, and the Power Minister, Sushilkumar Shinde, are scheduled to inaugurate the conference.
