BANGALORE: The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has said it has completed discussions with most of the land owners and revenue site owners who had raised objections to acquisition of land for Arkavathy Layout of 20,000 sites. "We have completed hearings with most of them. A few land owners asked for more time as their papers were not in order, BDA Commissioner M.N. Vidyashankar has said. The BDA has given them time till April 10 to attend hearings. "By April 15, we hope to submit the proceedings of all hearings to the Board of Directors of the BDA for their decision," Mr. Vidyashankar said. The High Court has asked the BDA to complete hearings by April 25 and allot sites by April-end. Of about 1,100 hectares of land notified for the layout, owners of nearly 300 hectares have raised objections.
