Special Correspondent

Pondicherry: The president of the Pondicherry unit of the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), R. Kesavalu, has condemned the behaviour of the Youth Congress volunteers who had burnt on Friday an effigy of Leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha L.K. Advani.

In a release here on Saturday, Mr. Kesavalu said that he had presented a petition to the Deputy Collector (Revenue) here seeking criminal action against the Youth Congress leader K. Pandian and his volunteers for burning the effigy.

A batch of volunteers of the BJP had also held a demonstration at the Collectorate.
