Dry weather likely in T.N.

CHENNAI: Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Karnataka.

On Friday, the maximum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over south Tamil Nadu, rose at one or two places over rest Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and Telangana, fell at many places over rest coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably above normal at many places over Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, above normal at one or two places over rest coastal Karnataka, south interior Karnataka, rest coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema and rest Tamil Nadu and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Kadapa recorded the highest maximum temperature of 40 degree Celsius in the region.

Forecast (valid until the morning of 27th March 2006): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Kerala and mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: Sunny weather.
