BANGALORE: A taxi driver lost his Toyota Qualis to tricksters in Indira Nagar police station limits on Friday. According to the police, two persons got into the vehicle owned by Manjunath Travels and driven by Janaki Raman and asked him to go to Modi Hospital in Laxminarayapura. When they reached the hospital, they told him to take them to ESI Hospital as the treatment at Modi Hospital would be costly. When Janaki Raman took them to ESI Hospital, one of the two persons who pretended to be ill went inside the hospital while the other person stayed with the driver. After a while, he invited the driver for dinner, but Janaki Raman refused. Later, the other person again invited the driver to a roadside eatery for having "pani puri". As they were having "pani puri" Janaki Raman noticed his vehicle missing. Later, he also found that the other person had vanished. The driver ran to the hospital, but could not trace the "sick" person.
