COLOMBO: The Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) on Sunday cautioned the Government and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) against a gradual worsening of the ground situation following Saturday's attack on a naval boat by a suspected LTTE trawler. Six suspected LTTE cadres were killed and eight sailors are reported "missing" in the blast. Though "the LTTE have denied any involvement" in the incident, the monitors felt that "based on SLMM's previous experience, we cannot at this stage rule out their involvement." Saturday's incident occurred when "LTTE craft heavily laden with explosives, disguised as a trawler, blew itself up" when an Israeli-built Dvora Fast Attack Craft intercepted it. ... "
