Zilla Parishad members argue over selection of field assistants

CHITTOOR : Arguments were witnessed for a while at the general body meeting of Zilla Parishad held here on Sunday over the selection of field assistants under rural employment guarantee scheme.

Audimulam and Ramesh Reddy of TDP said names of field assistants were given directly to mandal parishad officers which was against guidelines. Congress' Venugopal Reddy, Narayanaswamy and Chandrasekhar Reddy said issued were instructions to MPDOs to receive applications directly which led to arguments.
