I will not fight Sonia now: Sushma

GUWAHATI: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sushma Swaraj on Sunday said she would not take on the Congress president Sonia Gandhi if she runs for the Lok Sabha from Rae Bareli once again.

Addressing presspersons here, Ms. Swaraj said she was not against Ms. Gandhi personally. "I am opposed only to any person of foreign origin becoming the Prime Minister."

The country's security would be put into jeopardy if a person of foreign origin was given the reins of power, she said. — UNI
