CEC to visit Pondicherry today

Pondicherry: Chief Election Commissioner B.B. Tandon accompanied by Election Commissioners Gopalaswamy and Navin B. Chawla would review the arrangements in Pondicherry in the context of the forthcoming polls, at a meeting with officials of the Election and Police Departments, during their visit to Pondicherry on Monday.

District Collector cum District Election Officer of Pondicherry G. Theva Needhi Dhas told newsmen here on Sunday that the Election Commission would first hold discussions with leaders of various political parties before meeting senior officers.

Mr. Dhas said that Mr. Tandon and others would also have discussions with the Chief Secretary C. S. Khairwal and also Inspector General of Police Mr P.R. Meena later.
