Moradabad: Five policemen here have been suspended and a murder case registered against them for allegedly causing the death of a man in their custody. One Sateesh of Pater village in the district was picked up by the police on Thursday on the charge of power theft and beaten brutally while in their custody, Senior SP Sujeet Pandey said on Sunday. He said Sateesh was yesterday taken to hospital in `critical condition' and then referred to the government hospital in Moradabad where he was declared dead. Sateesh's relatives were not informed about the incident, he said. Additional SP L.K. Singh said a case had been registered last night against inspector Subhash Kajla, sub-inspectors Shyam Singh and Vishnu Sharma and constables Ajay Malik and Virender Singh.-- PTI
