KOCHI: A district-level interdepartmental task-force meeting was held recently to make arrangements for the national polio eradication programme, Pulse Polio, on April 9 and May 14. Health authorities have decided to deploy more mobile teams to cover sections of the population which booths set up for immunisation would not be able to serve alone. The floating population, often left out in the programme, will also be covered. This will be done with the help of the city corporation, since much of the floating population is found in urban areas.
