Seven arrested

BANGALORE:
The KG Halli Police have arrested seven persons on the charge of dacoity and extortion.
The police gave the names of the accused as Jagadish alias Jagga (22), resident of Kodigehalli Gate, Mohammed Shani (22), resident of Yelahanka, M.S. Narasimha Murthy (21), M. Shivakumar (21), Manjunatha (18), Balaji (20) and Manjunatha (18), all residents of Old Byappanahalli.
The police said they have recovered three mobile phone handsets, two wristwatches and a motorcycle, in all worth over Rs. 75,000. Jagadish, Mohammed Shani and Narasimha Murthy stabbed Ravishankar in December 2004, the police said.
With their arrest, one extortion and two burglary cases reported from KG Halli Police Station limits, one murder case reported from KR Puram Police Station limits and one burglary case reported from Byappanahalli Police Station limits have been solved, the police claimed.
