Bar owner held

BANGALORE: The Yelahanka police raided a bar and a dhaba and arrested the owner of the two establishments on the charge of conducting live band show.

Acting on a tip-off, the police raided the establishments situated at Bagalur Cross at around 1.15 a.m. on Sunday.

While women performing in the live band managed to escape, the police arrested the owner Yogesh. Yelahanka police have registered a case.

Two arrested

The Ulsoor Police raided a pub and restaurant on the charge of serving liquor and allowing customers to dance to music. The police said they raided the pub and restaurant at Domlur on information that music was being played without permission. A case has been registered against the owner Munilakkappa. Two of his employees were arrested.

Wine shops raided

The police have registered 71 cases against wine shops for sale of liquor violating rules. While 19 cases were registered in west division; two were booked in north; 24 in south and 25 in central divisions, the police said.
