Isolated rainfall likely to occur in south Tamil Nadu CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at a few places over Kerala and isolated rainfall occurred over south Tamil Nadu. Dry weather prevailed over north Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and Karnataka. These are stations that recorded rainfall (in centimeters): Kanyakumari 5, Kozha (Kottayam dt.) 3, Thodupuzha (Idukki dt.) 2. On Sunday the maximum temperature rose at a few places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over Rayalaseema and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were markedly above normal at one or two places over Tamil Nadu, appreciably above normal at many places over rest Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over Rayalaseema, coastal Karnatka, above normal at one or two places over Telangana, Kerala, rest Tamil Nadu and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Ananthapur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41 degree Celsius in the region. The minimum temperature fell at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, Kerala, rose appreciably at one or two places over Telangana, Rayalaseema, rose at one or two places over rest Rayalaseema, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were below normal at one or two places over coastal Tamil Nadu, appreciably above normal at one or two places over Telangana, Rayalaseema, above normal at one or two places over rest Rayalaseema, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, rest Tamil Nadu, Kerala and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 19 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.
