HYDERABAD: V. Chiranjeevi of Andhra Pradesh won the 65 years and above singles title defeating C. Radhakrishnan of Tamil Nadu 6-1, 6-1 in the final of the Rs.1.65 lakh prize money Gokaraju Rangaraju memorial AITA veterans' National tennis tournament at Bhimavaram (West Godavari) on Sunday, according to information received here. The results: 45 years & above: S. Settu (TN) bt Anand Swaroop (AP) 6-2, 6-2. Doubles: S. Settu (TN)-Uma Maheshwar Rao bt K.R. Raman (AP)-K. Meher Prakash 6-3, 6-1. 55 years & above: V. Ram Mohan Rao bt Srikanth Parekh 3-6, 6-1 (conceded). Doubles: Madan Mohan Singh-M.S. Venkatachalam bt TAPN Rao-Srikanth Parekh 6-2, 7-6 (7-3). 65 years & above: V. Chiranjeevi (AP) bt C. Radhakrishnan (TN) 6-1, 6-1. Doubles: C.B. Raju-Rednam bt V. Chiranjeevi-V. Nani Rao 6-2, 6-3.
