KARUR: M. Ramesh took six for 15 as Hercules CC defeated Blue Diamond CC by five wickets in the Karur DCA first division league match here.

Udhayakumar 48, S. Anbalagan five for 22) lost to Challengers XI CC 214 for six in 40.5 overs (S. Manikandan 78 not out); Star CC 118 in 39 overs (P. Suresh five for 21) lost to Black Rose CC 119 for nine in 28.1 overs; Atlas CC 61 in 25.3 overs (S. Sudharshan four for 14) lost to National CC 62 for two in 16.5 overs.

Second division: Pentafour CC 86 in 21.1 overs lost to Kocas `B' CC 87 for four in 17.3 overs; Eskay CC 119 for eight in 25 overs lost to College Friends CC 123 for three in 21.4 overs; TNPL CC 139 for six in 25 overs (S.
