JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Assembly was plunged into turmoil on Tuesday when a Bahujan Samaj Party MLA, agitated over the State Government's failure to fill up the backlog of reservation in services, tore off his kurta and fainted after storming into the well during zero hour. The BSP MLA, Suresh Meena, along with another party colleague wanted to raise the issue of non-compliance with the norms for reservation for Scheduled Caste and Tribes, but the Speaker, Sumitra Singh, did not allow him to speak. Mr. Meena hurled charges against the BJP-led Government and left his seat to storm into the well. When the Speaker tried to control him, a highly provoked Mr. Meena tore off his kurta and collapsed on the floor losing his consciousness. The Speaker adjourned the House for ten minutes and called the doctors inside the House, who checked his blood pressure and helped him regain senses.
