HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) top brass, which has made some controversial decisions of late, has come up with another one, which is bound to draw flak from the critics. A four-member delegation comprising G.Vinod, Minister for Labour & Employment, and president of HCA, N.Shivlal Yadav, secretary P.Yadgiri, treasurer, and M.V.Sridhar, joint-secretary, will shortly leave for China to purchase furniture for the club house at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal. The HCA top brass seemed to have decided on the idea after a visit to a five-star hotel in Secunderabad where they were told that the hotel management found it cheaper to buy everything in China - from spoons to furniture. "We believe it's 60 per cent cheaper there than in India. So, when we are going for bulk purchases, it is preferable to visit that place and examine the prices," says Shivlal Yadav. "After all, the objective is to ensure that the facilities are truly world class," he asserts.
