SALEM: The Salem Productivity Council (SPC) will organise a one-day free training programme on cost reduction, as part of the National Productivity and Awareness Promotion Plan at the Hotel LRN Excellency here on March 30.
Vital element
A release from the president of SPC, K. Mariappan, said that cost reduction was a vital element in business these days. Companies had to focus more on cost reduction methods to remain successful in the competitive world. The training programme would deal with various aspects of cost reduction and cover productivity, quality, problem solving and waste minimisation approaches.
Participation
Supervisors, executives, entrepreneurs, industrialists, academicians and businessmen can participate in the programme. One person from an organisation will be allowed to participate. However, the SPC has requested those interested to register for participation. The registration will be done on a first come first serve basis. Senior Industrial Engineer, SPC, V. Aravinda Krishnan, will conduct the training programme.
