MANGALORE: Vishwas Kamath, a final year law student of SDM Law College, Mangalore, has bagged the first place for his role of the "prime minister" at the seventh national youth parliament competition here on March 20. Arlene Texeira, a second year BBM student of St. Agnes College, has bagged the second place for her role of "leader of the opposition". A press release from Dayanand Naik, coordinator of the national youth parliament competition, here on Wednesday said 50 students from SDM Law College, Besant Women's College, St. Agnes College and University College represented the Mangalore University team. The prizes will be distributed at a function to be held in New Delhi in May. Other prize-winners include Roopa Rani H.K. (III BA) of University College who has bagged the second place for the role of "home minister"; Sunil George (final year LL.B) of SDM Law College who has won the third place for his role as "speaker"; and Shreesha Kumar U. (II LL.B of the three-year course) of SDM Law College who has placed third for his role as "law and justice minister". Likewise, Raksha Shenoy (II LL.B of the five-year course) who has placed third for her role as "human resource development minister"; Ismail Musba (III LL.B of the five-year course) and Priya Baliga (II LL.B of the five-year course), who have both won fourth places for their roles as members of the opposition. All these students are from SDM Law College, Dr. Naik added.
