IT Department opts for Oracle solution

CHENNAI: The Income-tax Department, Department of Revenue, Union Ministry of Finance, has selected Oracle to drive its e-delivery of the taxpayer services project across the country. The department has chosen Oracle Database and Oracle Fushion Middleware as the platform to develop a single national database, based on a three-tier mode architecture to increase efficiencies and improve citizen services, says a company release.
