Infosys joins SEC pilot programme

BANGALORE: Infosys Technologies is among the 17 companies that have agreed to participate in a new pilot programme of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to use `interactive data' in their financial statement filings.

The companies will help the regulator explore how new Internet based reporting technologies can improve the financial reporting process for investors, financial intermediaries, the SEC, and the companies themselves.
