UDUPI: Sri Jayapataka Swamiji of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) and Sri Lakshmivara Tirtha Swamiji of Sri Shiroor Math inaugurated the Jaganath Rath Yatra of the ISKCON here on Thursday. The rath yatra began from Gita Mandir near Rajangana and culminated at Rajangana. Addressing devotees at Rajangana, Sri Jayapataka Swamiji said that Chaitanya Mahaprabhu had popularised the importance of "bhakti" or devotion to the Lord. ISKCON representatives and Director of the T.A. Pai Management Institute D. Nagabrahmam were present.
