BANGALORE: Timely action by the staff of the Hoysala patrol squad saved the life of a 23-year-old woman who attempted suicide by hanging herself at her house in Kamakshipalya police station limits on Thursday. The police said that around 10.30 a.m. Rathnamma, a resident of Kebbahalli in Sunkadakatte, hanged herself from the ceiling of her rented house following a quarrel with the house owner. Rathnamma's neighbours, who learnt that she attempted suicide, alerted the Kamakshipalya police. The staff of the Hoysala-14 squad rushed to the spot and took her to a nearby private hospital. After getting her first aid, they admitted her in the Victoria Hospital. Rathnamma has recovered and is out of danger, the police said.
