Welding sparks fire

BANGALORE: Fire broke out at Anjan cinema on Magadi Road on Thursday morning. According to the police, around 6.30 a.m. some workers were carrying out welding work near the screen.

The screen caught fire as the sparks from the welding machine fell on it. Fire tenders put out the fire, the police said.

Killed in accident

A 29-year-old man, Rajkumar, riding a scooter was killed and his friend, riding a pillion, was injured, when a KSRTC bus hit their scooter near Kenchaguppe gate in Bidadi police station limits on Tuesday.
