KADAPA: Youth Congress activists should boost Congress prospects in the ensuing panchayat elections by effectively propagating developmental and welfare schemes being implemented by the Government. Addressing the district Youth Congress executive meeting here, Kadapa MLA Md. Ahmedullah said the Telugu Desam Party failed to execute irrigation projects while in power and was now posing hurdles to the Congress Government which is determined to complete all the irrigation projects. He charged the TDP with raising a hue and cry on Sripadasagar issue and wasting precious time in Assembly. District Congress Committee president A. Amarnath Reddy urged YC activists to coordinate with MLAs and party leaders in their respective constituencies and propagate Indiramma and Rural Employment Guarantee schemes. Completion of irrigation projects under `Jalayagnam' undertaken by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy would irrigate 80 lakh acres in the State and 9.50 lakh acres in Kadapa district, Kadapa Mayor P. Ravindranath Reddy said.
