The nine-member team includes Gowtham Chatterjee (Ernakulam, Mattancherry); Vinod Agarwal (Paravur, Njarakkal); Chandrasekhar Chattopadhyay (Angamaly, Vadakkekara); Mandeep Santu (Aluva, Perumbavur); Ashok Kumar Yadav (Palluruthy, Thripunitura); Balraj Singh (Piravom, Kothamangalam), Vivek Kumar Singh (Kunnathunadu, Muvattupuzha); C.S. Polling duty
There are a total of 1,970 booths in the 14 constituencies in the district. A total of 9,900 personnel, including State and Central Government employees, will be required for polling duty. District Collector A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish has issued a directive to the Deputy Collector (Election) to prepare a list of the Central Government offices that had not filed the list of the employees until Wednesday evening. The number of Central Government employees is being collected owing to the provision to allow an additional booth in case the number of voters in a single booth exceeds 1,400. It is expected that around 100 booths will have to be additionally allowed in the district. The video squads to record the poll campaigning in the district should be ready by Sunday, the District Collector has said.
