Isolated rain likely in T.N.

CHENNAI: Isolated rainfall occurred over south Tamil Nadu. Dry weather prevailed over north Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and Karnataka.

Thuckalay (Kanyakumari dt.) recorded rainfall of 2 cm.

On Saturday, the maximum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, rose at one or two places over Telangana, north interior Tamil Nadu, fell at one or two places over south Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were markedly above normal at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, appreciably above normal at a few places over Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over Telangana, rest coastal Karnataka, above normal at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu, Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over rest Telangana and were generally normal over rest of the region.

Nizamabad recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41 degree Celsius in the region.

Forecast (valid until Tuesday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Kerala. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Farmers weather Bulletin for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry: Forecast (valid until the morning of 04th April, 2006): Isolated light to moderate rain is likely to occur over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

Outlook for subsequent two days: Sunny weather.
