BANGALORE: If you are a State Bank of India (SBI) customer, the next few days will be trying. Responding to an indefinite strike call given by the State Bank of India Officers Association (SBIOA), 120 branches of the bank in the city and 323 in the State will remain almost non-functional from Monday. Officially, these branches will be open, but the staff is likely to stay away from work. With cash shortages, the bank ATMs are also likely to be hit. The last cash filling at these ATMs was reportedly done on Friday. There was no filling of cash in the bank ATMs on Saturday because it coincided with the closing of the financial year. Complaints of shortage of money in the bank ATMs started on Saturday itself. Customers could hope to get some respite from the associate banks such as the State Bank of Mysore. But only the ATMs dedicated to State Bank of Mysore will work on Monday, while the State Bank of India ATMs are bound to fall short of cash without fresh fillings.
