Atul Aneja

DUBAI: The authorities in Dubai have arrested Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) chief Ghazain Marri following a request by the Pakistan Government. Mr. Marri was detained on March 22 and Islamabad is seeking his extradition, Gulf News, an English language daily from Dubai reported. The daily claimed that the attorney general of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) issued the warrant for his arrest. Mr. Marri is still in the UAE and the attorney general is studying the documents submitted by Pakistani authorities in order to ascertain whether there is case for his extradition to Pakistan. The UAE and Pakistan reportedly have an agreement on extradition of criminals and exchange of information.
