Isolated rain likely in south T.N.

CHENNAI: Isolated rainfall occurred over Kerala and north interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over south interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and coastal Karnataka.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimeters: Kanjirapalli (Kottayam dt.) 3, Kottayam 2 and Alapuzha 1. On Sunday the maximum temperature fell appreviably at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, fell over Telangana, south interior Karnataka and changed little over the region.

They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, south interior Karnataka, above normal at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, at one or two places over Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over rest of the region.

Forecast (valid until Wednesday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over south Tamil Nadu, Kerala, interior Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema and mainly dry weather will prevail over north Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Lakshadweep, Telangana and coastal Karnataka.
