Case against two doctors adjourned

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The Special Court hearing the multi-crore stamp paper racket case involving Abdul Kareem Telgi, prime accused, and others on Monday adjourned the case against two former doctors of Victoria Hospital until April 10 to fix the date of trial.

The CBI had framed charges against Telgi and others, including Dr. Chennakeshava and Dr. Gyanendrappa. Both the doctors are accused in the special case booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The charge against the doctors, both formerly working at the Victoria Hospital in Bangalore, was that they had provided Telgi with a medical certificate in order to help him obtain bail. They had been booked under Section of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Special Judge Virupax Angadi on Monday heard CBI counsel Sheelavant and adjourned the case until April 10 for fixing the date of the trial.
