NEW DELHI: On the first day of the indefinite strike by State Bank of India's officers and employees on Monday, banking services were badly affected in almost all the bank's branches across the Capital as well as in the neighbouring townships of Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad causing great inconvenience to thousands of customers.

Nearly 1,000 branches of the bank and a large number of ATMs operating in the Delhi region were severely affected. Striking employees held meetings flaying the Government for not considering their demands.
