THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Institute of Human Resources Development has invited applications for admission to standard eight for 2006-07, in the technical higher secondary schools under it.

Admissions are open at the IHRD schools at Kaloor (0484-2347132), Kaprassery (0484-2604116), Vazhakkad (0483-2725215), Vattamkulam(0494-2681498), Perinthalmanna (04933-225086), Puthuppally (0481-2351485), Kuttikkanam (04869-232373), Muttom(04862-255755) and at Mallappally (0469-2680574).

Those who have passed standard seven or are awaiting results of the examinations can apply. The upper age limit for the course is 14 years as on June 1, 2006. Applications and the prospectus can be had from these schools till May 2, 2006, on payment of Rs.100. Candidates in SC / ST category need pay only Rs.50.

Those who require applications by post should send a request along with a Demand Draft for Rs.130 drawn in favour of the principal of the respective school on or before April 25.

Completed applications should reach the respective schools on or before May 2.

The envelope should be superscribed `Application for Admission to Standard VIII.' Money orders, postal orders or cheques will not be accepted as payment for application forms, a press note issued here on Tuesday said.
