GULBARGA: The District Science Centre has introduced a novel programme, "Reward the Visitors," where a visitor who scores the maximum marks by answering a question paper given by the centre will be suitably rewarded every day. District Science Officer B.R. Viswanath said in a press release that the centre had also decided to offer traineeship in education to young and aspiring B.Sc. graduates for a year on a consolidated stipend of Rs. 4,500 a month. The trainees, to be selected through a written test and interview, would have to undergo on-the-job training to conduct various education programmes, both in-house and outdoor, besides taking up projects to popularise science. Mr. Viswanath said interested candidates may contact the District Science Centre at Public Garden here for applications. He said the month-long summer camp for students hosted by the centre, which began on April 1, had got a good response. Sky observation would also be held during the camp between 7 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. for students as well as the general public.
