BANGALORE: Anuja Thakur stormed into the semifinals of the World ladies snooker championship at Cambridge with a 4-1 victory over compatriot Chitra Magimaraj in the quarterfinals, according to information received here. The two other Indian contenders , Meenal Thakur and Vidya Pillay bowed out in the last eight round. Vidya went down to Emma Bonney 0-4, while Reanne Evans put down a spirited resistance from Meenal Thakur 4-2. In the other quarterfinals, Maria Catalano beat Tian Owen 4-0. In the semifinals, Anuja meets Reanne Evans and Emma Bonney takes on Maria Catalano.
