West Bengal Governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi said in his address to the sixth convocation of the Karnataka State Open University in Mysore on Monday that with regard to distress among farmers, the situation is worse in the other regions of the country than in Karnataka. The report published in these columns yesterday wrongly quoted him as saying the opposite. The error is regretted.
