JAIPUR: The month-old Thar Express, introduced between Munabao in Barmer and Khokhrapar in Pakistan, has transported 3,374 passengers so far between the two countries. The train service, resumed after a gap of over 40 years, however is faced with some initial hiccups. "The problems are mainly concerning Customs and Immigration clearances," noted S.B. Bhattacharya, General Manager of North Western Railway, talking to media persons here on Monday. Some of the passengers arriving from Pakistan were found without proper papers to enter this country. "We had to send them back," he said. The train, starting from Jodhpur every Friday, has carried 1827 passengers from India to Pakistan until March 24. It brought in 1547 India-bound passengers from Pakistan during the past one month.
