  • Uniform service rules sought for tribal and municipal teachers

  • Hike in spot valuation charges demanded

HYDERABAD : The Andhra Pradesh Joint Action Committee of Teachers Organisations representing 17 unions has served an ultimatum on the Government to boycott the SSC spot valuation beginning April 8 if its demands are not met immediately.

Decrying the `poor' response from the Government even after two meetings with School Education Minister N. Rajyalakshmi and senior officials, JACTO leaders B.Mohan Reddy, M. Balakrishnamma and others announced their resolve to skip the spot valuation work.

Stating this at a press conference here on Tuesday, they said the proposals pertaining to creation of local cadres based on GO 95 and 96 ought to be sent immediately to the President for approval. They expected uniform service rules for the tribal and municipal teachers to be implemented.

The other major demand is revival of GO 134.
